Our internal procedures are reviewed regularly and discussed are held in a Quality Manual which is made available to all employees.
Health and Safety are of vital importance for NICO Marine, as is the protection environment. Our HSE policy is aligned with international standards and we are accredited by QCS in accordance with Environmental Management System Standard ISO 14001:2015.
To achieve these objectives, all company projects adhere to the following principles:
– Compliance with all applicable HSE legislation
– Prevention of incidents, injuries and pollution
– Reduction of waste and conservation of resources
– Regular training and development of employees
– Recording and communicating HSE performance to all employees
– Continual improvement of HSE performance
– Strive for zero incidents through operational excellence
Each employee, whose work may create a significant HSE impact shall be trained and held accountable for complying with the company’s HSE policy and related procedures, practices and instructions. Working safely and in an environmentally appropriate manner are conditions of employment. Each employee has duty to report workplace conditions or practices that pose a safety hazard or threaten the environment and to take reasonable actions to alleviate such risks.
Management shall uphold these principles throughout the company and be responsible for implementing and maintaining the company’s HSE policy and Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System. Regular audits shall be done to determine conformance to the QHSE Management System.
